Ulcers are often evident in the [[Abomasum - Anatomy & Physiology |abomasum]] of ruminants and are surrounded by haemorrhagic zones. Indirect Fluorescent Antibody Tests (IFAT) and [[ELISA testing |ELISAs]] are also available and are useful for identifying carrier animals.
